After reviewing your goals, your esthetician uses specialized wooden tools with controlled, adjustable pressure on selected body areas. The technique is more vigorous than the Lymphatic Body Contour service and can be adjusted to your comfort level.
Before booking, disclose pregnancy, recent surgery, blood clots or clotting disorders, blood-thinning medication, active infection, open wounds, fractures, severe osteoporosis or other medical concerns that may make firm bodywork inappropriate. Ask your healthcare professional if you are unsure whether this type of treatment is appropriate for you.
After treatment, stay hydrated and follow your esthetician’s recommendations. Mild temporary tenderness can occur after firm-pressure bodywork. Wood therapy should not be presented as permanent cellulite removal, fat destruction or weight loss.
No treatment can promise permanent cellulite removal. Wooden Therapy is intended to temporarily improve the visible appearance of uneven texture and help treated areas look smoother.
Some clients choose a series to support their cosmetic goals. Your esthetician can recommend a schedule based on the areas being treated and your desired appearance.
We offer 60 and 90 minute sessions, depending on what you purchase. Packages entail only 60-minute sessions. If you'd like a longer session, please select the add-on for Extended Time (+30 mins)
No. While both involve hands-on techniques, wood therapy is a cosmetic body sculpting treatment that uses specialized wooden tools to improve the appearance of cellulite, skin, and body contours. It is not massage therapy or a medical treatment.
Common body-contouring areas may include the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, arms and back, depending on the service selected and your suitability.
The treatment uses firm, adjustable pressure and is often described as invigorating. Tell your esthetician immediately if the pressure is uncomfortable.
